Mission

Our Mission

Commitment to justice, equality, and positive change.

Mission

“Community-owned. Legacy-driven. Justice-focused.”

Our mission is to restore the prominence of Living the Dream, Inc. and ensure that the

observance of Dr. King’s birthday is not only symbolic but deeply substantive. We pursue

this mission through community partnerships in rendering community events -- meetings,

worship services, forums, seminars, workshops, rallies, and advocacy initiatives that

confront the enduring disparities Dr. King challenged in 1967—disparities that persist

today.

Our mission addresses:

  • Human rights

  • Education

  • Homelessness and housing

  • Incarceration and criminal justice reform

  • Racial Healing

  • Civil and voting rights

  • Employment and living wages

  • Entrepreneurship and wealth disparities

  • Family and youth empowerment

These are the pressing dilemmas that Living the Dream, Inc. seeks to confront—the very
issues Dr. King himself would champion if he were alive today.
